How do I understand if my gateway devices are connected with SBO properly?

Testing connection between SBO PC and gateway device is easy. You can test connections with the help of a ping application. To check gateway connection first log into SBO PC and then ping to a gateway device IP address with following format.

ping [gateway device IP address]

For example, if the gateway device IP address 10.0.5.100 the command will look like this.

Gateway State UP

If you get a ping reply which confirms the connection is OK

On the other hand, if your gateway device is not connected or the desired IP address is not set in the gateway device then you will not get a ping reply like the following.

Gateway State Down
