The SyncSwitch V.3 has intelligent routing capability with the capacity of adding unlimited routing plans. We assume you are a new subscriber of SyncSwitch. Therefore, to help you to configure the SyncSwitch, we have step-by-step explained here, “how to add route plans and manage routing in SyncSwitch?”

Well, before adding Routing plans, we need to add breakout and gateway from Breakouts and Gateways menu respectively. Assume we have completed adding breakouts and gateways. Now we will add Route Plans. We can do that by following steps below:

  • From Menu >> Route Plans >> Add (click on ‘+’ sign from bottom right corner)
  • Fill up the form with appropriate data on specified fields.

    Routing Plans 1
    • Route plan: An identical name of the route plan.
    • Failover: If a call fails on the first route, if your failover is enabled, it will try with the 2nd route and so on. If failover is disabled then retry will not work.
    • Retry count: Number of retries with alternative routes if failover is enabled and call fails on first route. If it is ‘0’ then retry will not work.
    • Max duration: Maximum duration of a connected call after which the call will be automatically hung up. Here the unit is in second.
  • After filling up the form, click on the ‘SUBMIT’ button.
  • We are done with Route Plan creation.
  • We can use the search option here. Also we can filter route plans by failover.

    Routing Plans 2
  • We can sort by Route Plan, Failover, Retry Count and Max Duration.

    Routing Plans 3
  • We can arrange Ascending/Descending order and also can print, pdf, import/export of route plans.

    • Add Prefix: This is the opposite of Remove prefix. If you put 333 on the box as an add prefix, it will add 333 with the called number and send it to the Gateway.
    • Gateway: Select your desired gateway from dropdown for your selected breakout of this route plan.
    • Call Limit: Put the number of highest concurrency you wish to send to your selected gateway with selected breakout.
    • Priority Put the priority number of your selected gateway for your selected breakout. Priority starts from 1.
